“ I shop here often as I live around the corner and was really happy to hear they were gonna FINALLY add more grocery items but when I stopped in yesterday evening I was sad to see they are going back to selling sandwiches and stuff which makes 0 sense and is definitely something downtown doesn't need! We are begging for a grocery store!!! I absolutely love the young lady that works the morning shift she's super helpful and really nice and I'll still stop in to say hello to her but I will be shopping elsewhere if I gotta go to 2 or 3 different stores to complete my shopping list than I'll save time and just go straight to a store that I can get everything I need in one shot! I'M ONLY GIVING THIS PLACE 4 STARS BECAUSE OF THE YOUNG LADY IN THE MORNING! IF THEY EVER LOSE HER THEY'LL REGRET IT! P.s. A little advice to the owners of this place, you should probably listen to your customers and employees we don't want another place to get subpar food we want a place to come in and do our grocery shopping! Your customers are what keeps your doors open you should really consider that if you want this place to survive!! ”

This is all in addition to their great grocery selection. This is a little gem in the city for those looking to get a nutritious meal during the day. The staff here is also super friendly! ”
“ First off, I'm upset at myself for not having tried this place sooner. Because now that I have, it's quickly entered my rotation for good lunch places in downtown. Why? Ladies and gentlemen: I present the CHOPPED salad. Yes, this is the thing that seemingly every other city has but that Hartford has been missing out. You get whatever ingredients you want and then they chop it up into smaller pieces. Novel, right? Yet, Greenway does this. Yum! But a few quibbles: The guy chopping my salad seemingly used the same utensil as the prior person. Which would be fine except for food allergies and such. The salad ingredients are fine too. They will customize things as well. Nothing super fancy but it does the trick. Add to that good grocery stuff and it's a nice place to have in downtown. ”
“ This is a nice grocery store in the middle of downtown. Also they have an attached deli. They have some prepared meals as well. I went for lunch one day. They don't have place to sit and eat. You have to take out. I had their Cajun turkey. It was nice and spicy. In fact spicier than expected. Also had their lobster bisque soup. It was ok. There were some interesting fruit-veg juices. ”
“ As a very patriotic New Haven resident, I have been fumbling a bit adjusting to Hartford since dedicating the better part of my waking hours M-F to this city for work. Coming across Greenway Market has made that transition substantially more enjoyable. Not trying to be dramatic, but food is kind of the center of everything. The availability of food - especially the delicious, healthy kind - will make or break a neighborhood, and the availability of fresh produce is the most essential to neighborhood work/play/livability. This is the exact reason why I was incredibly excited to come across Greenway while meandering the streets of Hartford for sustenance mid-workday. This place has juice and salad bars, a deli, local produce, Goldbergs Bagels, imported Italian cheeses, Hartford Baking Co. breads, cured Spanish meats, a house shaved Brussels sprout salad (!!), and a genuinely enthusiastic staff to serve the Hartford community. Expert food snob tested and highly recommended; 10/10 ”
